Tamil Nadu College Of Engg- The vision of the secretary  Dr.P.V.Ravi , had its plans drawn up in early 1983 and was established a year later by the Tamil Nadu Technical Foundation , Coimbatore.Located on the NH-47 about 28 km from the industrail city of Coimbatore is the 200 acre college campus, housing the Rs.3 crore engineering academic block, the laboratories, MBA block, cantenn, hostels etc .In the year 1984 the college opened its doors to the first batch of students to the branches of ECE (Electronics & Communication), Civil & Mech.Later two more fields of enineering were added viz EIE (Electronics & Instrumentation) & CSE (Computer Science & Engg).

              The college in a short span of 10 years had earned a reputation of its own as an institution of high standard and excellence..The students passed out of this college have been well placed in reputed industries like Wipro, Hughes, Mascon etcand also in government departments like airforce, BARC etc all over the country.
